When I bounce a region, the end of the bounced file is cut off...
I do not want to extend the bounce selection, because I want the bounced file to have the exact same filelenght as the original region... Any suggestions, ideas... What am I doing wrong here?

Maybe it is cut by the amount of the processing delay ?
just a guess

Indeed, seems to be related to the plug in delays...
When I activate delay compensation the bounces are ok! Tx

I experienced the same problem.
Only, I can't use delay compensation, (cause I'm using a PT|24 card with 2 MIX-farms and three original DSP cards in an expansion chassis). How can I get around this problem? I do NOT have an option of turning the delay compensation on or off I REALLY could use help on this friends! I'm running PT 6.4.1Cs3 on Mac OS 10.3.8, with a PT|24 card, 2 MIX-farms and three original DSP cards in an expansion chassis. thx in advance

If you're just bouncing to save the effects on something you could always use Audiosuite instead. Just copy the settings from TDM / RTAS and paste them in & execute. Goes quite fast actually.

One, less than elegant, way to deliver an entire file would be to put a two-pop on the front AND on the back of your files.
A one-frame, reference level, 1 kHz tone burst that occurs at EXACTLY two seconds before you file begins... AND ALSO at EXACTLY two seconds after the bottom of your fade will let you know that you have the entire file after the bounce and can be trimmed by your edit partners or mastering guru to the precise length with no problem. But... calculating the delay amount if you can't automatically compensate for it, should get the entire end of the file without two pops. |

If I remember correctly before AUTO delay compensation, you could apple-click or control-click on the green text that normally shows your pan amount on the mix window, and cycle through pan, peak, ect. Anyway, one of them is delay. That will show you how much delay your plug-in's are generating and then there was a delay plug-in you could set for the exact frames that you'd put on all the OTHER tracks to compensate for it (basically adding delay to match the "slowest" track)
If I remember correctly...

Here is the process to solve the problem......manually:
1.add a stereo track to the session 2.assign its input to say,bus 1,2 3.assign its output to say, A1,2 4.route ur music's output to bus 1,2 5.record the source material onto this stereo trk 6.Then cut the exact length u need on this "Master" track 7. Finally, use the export function to export the sound file to ur desired format and resolution ^^ |
