Wondering if after years of no real work around maybe PT 2023 might have brought a solution to this...
The reason why the timecode work around described here is not ideal is because you loose the ability to punch in a min & sec with the star/asterisk (*) shortcut from the numeric keypad of the keyboard, which I strongly rely on to find min & sec marks in client's revisions (the bane of my existence ;-)

This can be done with Andrew Scheps SoundFlow app “Scheps Offset Counter”. it’s a premium app within SF.

I agree with the suggestion. It would be great to have the option to select a specific ruler as the fixed base and reset other rulers accordingly. As mentioned by Dizzi, it serves as a reasonable workaround. boostaro reviews

There is already a

Timecode
and
Timecode 2 ruler

Min:Sec should stay the same, as it ties the sample rate count.
and
Min:Sec 2 should be able to offset from that.

Simple enough. But can there be "negative" time in Min:Sec 2? There are things to consider which isn't simply a subtraction or addition of milliseconds.

That would just be one more ruler, almost a copy and paste and small refactor of the ruler code.

Suggest it on the Lounge Feature Requests on Avid Link or talk to support. If a bunch of you all message separately, that would be "user requests" with potential.
