I know, you have no idea how upset I am, I woke up this morning feeling totally empty. I have called every music store and hit every eb site possible. I am still waiting to hear from a police detective. I have narrowed down the list of people it could be and it is short, so hopefully when the police do find the time then hopefully my intuitions are correct. However whoever did this had planned it for a while and they are not your common thieves so they have probably covred thir tracks well.

Dude!!!!!!

I am terribly sorry for this. I hate it for you. I couldnt even fathom aquiring that type of rig. I do hope so much that you find it. If you think you may know the folks that ripped you off perhaps its time to find some new friends.

So you do not have any insurance at all for this equipment??? I really hope the cops take this case seriously and whoop some tale (nypd style).

Christian

Hey man...I have 3 adats/brc and a 001 w/PC setup. It may not be the quality of your HD3 setup but if it helps you out, you can borrow my gear to get you thru some sessions. Obviously you've lost all backup info but if you had any projects that were fresh or about to get started I'd be happy to try and help you out for a while, etc. Let me know - Rick

Yikes!
This is a gearheads worst nightmare.
I can only imagine the rage boiling inside you over this one.
Hope you find out who did it or at least get your stuff back.
If it was me I think I would have to see a shrink before I killed somebody.
All the best man.
Hope it works out.

A friend of mine had his house burgled a while ago. He did some sleuthing and came to the conclusion that a guy who lived right across the road from him had done it. He passed his findings onto the cops who checked it out and sure enough his stuff was holed up in this guys house (the guy had even put out some of his ornaments as if they were his own). Anyway, he got his stuff back. There is hope bro !

Hey DIGI2000,

What kind of music were you making? I live in Miami and am looking for people to colaborate with. Maybe until you get your gear back we could do some recording here in my studio.

Good Luck with your search!

Dude that's terrible... ...If someone buy your stuff, they might try to register it...
I know that's silly, but we never know... Call DIGI and put all your SN# in a WANTED LIST.I bet you did that already...
I hope that you get everything back...

aaaaawww man!!!!!!

do not sleep until you get your stuff back!!

definitely report it with the police, serial numbers and all, and check every damned pawn shop in florida.

Once we had all of our equipment stolen by a ¨friend¨, and found it in a pawn shop 45 minutes away from hollywood......

best of luck

I know of a Marshall Halfstack that was stolen in London, Ontario.. then was found 4 years later in Ottawa, Ontario (9 hours away) in a used music store, by the guy who owned it when it was stolen, when he was on tour with his band.

He bought it back.

Never give up.

Guys,

I am very comforted by all of your kind offers. I really appreciate all the kind offers, though I really don't feel like making music right now.
Here is what I know so far about whoever stole my stuff.

1)They wanted it to look like someone who knew what they were doing took it, but there are some very tell tale signs that this wasn't the case. They didn't steal any Keyboards or Mics or any of the correct cabling. It is all very strange, also whoever stole it did not know how hard it would be to sell.

I think all of us pro tools users are generally here cause we love music, we are not hardened criminals, we are pationate about what we do. whoever did this does not understand Music or how it is made. So who knows.

I am beside myself. Again thanks for the support
