No input signal

Hi - have PT10 with fastrackultra8r win 7 - have installed pt10 and cannot get an input signal - track is armed so I assume i/o is ok maybe asio driver? can anyone help?

How is your I/O set up and what do you have your ins and outs set to on the track?

i/o has 4 stereo ins 1-2 set 1 mono 2 mono 3-4 3 mono 4 mono etc have removed 4 stereos and replaced with 8 mono ins which did not improve things so changed back to default. Straight out to sound card which works fine. I had a friend come round with mac and logic, plugged into fu8r which worked straight away showing input signal etc. I have loaded a track which plays back on the sound card on laptop showing input signal while playing but cannot get input signal?

Is the Fast Track the selected audio engine?(Setup>Hardware)?
