Default Cubase Video Tutorials MC Control

I have started to post some tutorials on youtube of some of the programming I have done with the MC Control.
Some may find these basic, others may find some useful tips on the possibilities of how to use the MC Control.

I have only done 4 so far, but I think I will be doing more, it keeps me out of trouble when work is slow.
Any feedback is helpful, it makes for better tutorials.

I just tried your specific plug-in to insert tutorial. The good news is it works.
The bad news is it doesn't seem to work consistantly.

I've got a 32bit CLASSIC COMPRESSOR that I just love. It is listed in the menu as: "classic_compressor_v117 -classic compress." I followed your instructions and typed in "classic" and it showed in the list at the top. But when I typed in the dot (which substitutes for space), it took me to the N6 Dynamics folder. When I typed in compressor after the dot and tested it, it pulled up the N6 compressor NOT the classic compressor.

So, I re-typed "classic_compressor_v117." Now the correct compressor stayed listed. So, I copied that address into the KC window of the MC. But when I tried it, all I got was the "classic_compressor_v117" to show in the window. But it would not complete the cycle and actually engage the plug-in.

Next, I tried the same thing using the full address, which required using a dot for the space in the line. That resulted in it's disappearance from the menu as a selection.

Finally, I went into the key commands in Nuendo and wrote a short specific KC for the classic compressor to see if I could force it to see the correct comp. This also worked in that it opened a plug-in but, unfortunately, it was the Octaver (WTH??)! I'm out of ideas.

Do you have any ideas on how to get aroung this wrinkle?

Ok so you said you type "Classic" and it showed up at the top.
STOP THERE, and program the button that way.
Tell Eucon to to type "classic"
Then the tab button once
Then the "Down Arrow" once( or however many times to highlight it)
Then the "return" button"

Programming this type of button requires some trial and error because of the way Nuendo/Cubase searches for plugins. In the video, if I type " oneknob filter stereo", Nuendo does not find it, yet that's the name of it.
I don't understand it.
However, that will not stop you from being able to do this.
Do some experimenting with getting your plugin to show up in the list, once you have found what works, you have to translate that to how Eucon will type it.
Eucon will not type a "space", so if you used a "space" when you searched for it in Nuendo, then you need to type a "." to substitute for the "space".
In the video you will see that before I complete programming the button, I first type the text that finds the plugin. Do this a couple times, make sure it works.
I have about 15 different plugins programmed to buttons like this, no question that it works, you just have spend some time on the search pane first, each plugin will be different.
