Just got into an MTRX Studio this week and came across this. Been using a Streamdeck (primarily with Keyboard Maestro integration) for quite a while now. Thanks to you, Luke, for building and sharing this!

Hi all,

Thanks to LukeHoward for this!

I'm not sure what's up, but I'm not able to import the default StreamDeck+ profile provided with the installer stuff. Is that just me? I can choose and import it onto my + but then nothing gets imported. The regular StreamDeck profile imports, just obviously doesn't do anything by default with the encoder knobs.

Thanks for any help and insight.

Checking in here. The latest version of the Stream Deck software, 6.6.0, seems to break the knob press support for Cut on the Stream Deck + model. Reverting to 6.5.2 for now, which doesn't seem to have this issue.

Fixed in build 126, download from the same place :)

Code:
### MOMStreamDeckPlugin-126

* Fix StreamDeck+ encoder button regression after upgrading to StreamDeck 6.6
* Fix a small memory leak when determining system identifier
* Update to use new common MOM emulation library

This is amazing - just started using it, many-many thanks!

Two questions/ future requests: would it be possible to have the layers on a dial?

Also, it'd be fantastic if I could assign an action when pushing a dial. For example, pushing the volume dial to cut or dim.

I am just looking at this for the past 5mins - apologies if one can already do all the above and I just cannot see them

Layers on a dial would be nice, but we are limited by the communication protocol between the MOM and DADman, which only allows layers to be advanced. So only clockwise turns would do anything, which I thought would be confusing. Happy to reconsider.

Customisable actions for pushing dials is definitely implementable, it's just a matter of spare time (which I am not drowning in at this juncture!).

Hey Luke! All set up with your streamdeck plugin and my studio and it's working great.

I share the studio with 2 other engineers who bring a laptop in. In device list, when they connect to the system it's showing a different "serial number" for the streamdeck than it shows on my system.

We ended up going and manually reattaching the virtual mom in the monitor profile window. While it did connect to the streamdeck, it didn't keep all the customizations I made in the stream deck profile I created for our studio. All the buttons had names / colours on them on my system, but were just generic on the other computer.

Any tips on how you can go about sharing streamdeck profiles with customizations?

The "serial number" depends on how MOMStreamDeckPlugin is configured, but by default it will be derived from your computer's platform UUID. It shouldn't change across reboots.

The UI customisations are stored in the StreamDeck configuration on each computer, so they won't be shared, you'd need to duplicate them if you wanted them to be consistent.

The MOM monitor controller mappings are stored in the MOM monitor profile, so you would need to configure those for each MOM "serial number".

Got it. So the customizations don't port over with the profile when you load it from a new computer?

Edit: If this is the case, is there another preferences file that I can send to a user that stores these?

It's buried in the StreamDeck preferences unfortunately which are (weirdly) stored in the user's keychain. So it's not so easy to get at, although if you're handy with Keychain Access you can find it under

Code:
com.elgato.StreamDeck.com.padl.monitoroperatingmodule
I really need to write an import/export tool...
