PT 11 Demo asks for surrender of PT10!

So when I try to add the PT11 asset to my iLok it asks me to surrender my PT10 license?? So after a month of demo I loose my PT 10 License????

This did not happen to me. It shouldn't do this because the demo is not considered an upgrade but a full version. I added the 10/11 demo right along with my 9/10 full version without an issue. Perhaps they put the wrong asset on your iLok account?

Edit: I checked my iLoks, and I have my 9/10 bundle on an iLok 1 and the 10/11 on an iLok 2. With more thought, I think that you can not have both versions on the same iLok. If you have another iLok, move your existing version 10 to that. 10 will work on an iLok 1.

Slight digression but I've downloaded the 10HD demo a couple of different times(I have 9HD) and each time when the demo's over...9 is history, finito, gone - I have to reinstall 9 after the 10 demo. A total PITA and a strange way of making it happen, whether they make it that way on purpose or not I dunno.

Prior to version 11, you could not install multiple versions of the software. So installing 10 would wipe out any previous versions. With version 11, you can co-install version 10.3.6 and 11. The OP was specifically about the iLok auths, not the software.

Skip the iLok procedure.

Just download and install PT 11. Start it and supply the requested iLok ID and you'll be good to go...

Well I wish that I knew that ahead of time. I could have saved some stress and not installed the new iLok software until later lol.

This doesn't work for me. When I try to run the demo, it tells me that I do not have the required license to surrender and then quits.

The trial page does clearly state that an iLok 2 is required to use the demo.

I un-installed and re-installed the iLok Manager. Which stopped it from asking me to surrender my 9/10 License.
So for now all is good.
