MIDI SETUP takes long to SETUP and doesnt SETUP

sorry if there is a thread on this i couldnt find one but im having trouble with pro tools and midi it doenst seem to SETUP midi when i open pro tools, i had pro tools 8.0.5 and i am currently trying the trial for pro tools 10 thinking i could get it to work with pro tools 10 but it doesnt the same thing, excpet after MIDI setup on pro tools 10 it says restoring controllers and initializing controller but midi still doesnt work, i am using a digi 003 rack, w/latest drivers, m-audio keystation 88es with the latest drivers and have even re-installed drivers for m-audio and digi rack and still doesnt work, seems to be only with pro tools because my m-audio keyboard works fine with reason no prob . Any help would be nice been bummed that i cant use my keyboard with pro tools but i could with reason.

Search for a midi driver updater for the 003 as I remember way back, very soon after the 003 was introduced, they had some kind of midi update. In any case, midi on my rig has been fine(but that update was done years ago).

it says the download is for windows xp tho, does it matter if im running windows 7
