Angry high frequency noise the D A E is loaded

Can anyone help me? when my protools m audio is loading it is fine until it reaches the D A E, and then i get an awful high pitch noise coming through the speakers continualy, until i close it down, it doesnt affect when i bounce to disc but it is very off putting whilst ime trying to mix .
