pro tools open and after a second they close

Another problem appeared now, pro tools open for a second and as they are loading after a second they suddenly close!!!! I tried it many times and the same happens, they open for a second and then they close. I have the suspicion that maybe some other program in my pc could be affecting them but before I go uninstalling programs PLEASE give me a suggestion if you think there is something else to blame, your help is greatly appreciated!
by the way, I din't go now to the i-lok com site, is that synchronization really nesecery to do?

I have uninstalled 17 programs! but still the same problem, I open pro tools and after a second or 2 they close! Please somebody some help!

format your pc and install only windows+protools check if this problem stop.

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x/7.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.

I did everything that was mentioned in the link you gave me apart from the changes in BIOS.
Still the same problem.
Also I checked and all the componets of my pc are fully compatible.

1. list your system configuration and hardware, we can't diagnose a problem if we don't know what you are using.
2. format entire system (make sure you backup critical information and files).
3. install windows XP and Pro Tools (do not install anything else).
4. see if the problem still exists.
