Trigger XPand2 with Alesis HR-16 thru MBOX2 help
I created a Midi channel for the HR-16 (similar to the sr-16) and am sending to the XPand2 on a Audio Channel. I see the signal coming in on the midi channel and I hear the signal in the midi test. The XPand is getting triggered randomly and only the kick drum is getting triggered. My usb keyboard triggers the XPand by individual drum no problem and I have assigned the pads of the HR-16 to the same notes as my usb keyboard. Any tips to get these machines talking would be greatly appreciated.

dude, why are you putting yourself through this? The HR 16 has the crudest of pads. Not even sure they are velocity sensitive. Just trigger from your keyboard.

Agreed. I wasted about 45min of my life getting my SR-16 MIDI'd up... And it has 8 levels of pad "sensitivity".. Useless, basically
I've always hated that thing...

Re: Trigger XPand2 with Alesis HR-16 thru MBOX2 help
Yes agreed. I've spent the last few hours getting used to using the editor as a sequencer. Actually way easier. What can I say. Im an analog dinasour just getting my feet wet with PT for the last week. With the pencil tool its ridiculously easy. Then duplicating...amazing. I was using the merge midi record and have now decided to dedicate individual tracks to each drum. Its just so intuitive its ridiculous.
Thanks for the gentle nudge anyway |
