Default S4 no expand available under config section

Hi

As the thread title implys I am trying to set up attention expand zones on my 24 fader s4. The manual states to go to settings, surface page and then press config and then expand. However when I press config the only options are surface, Lspill, Rspill, display and cancel. No expand.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Garret

Greetings,

Do you have a bucket on your S4 with option modules - including one or two Knob Modules for example?

Hi Jeff

Aha! I think you may have solved the problem. I didn't realise it only works on the option modules. I just have 24 faders and master module and the panner option.

Thanks for the reply.

Garret.

Yes, correct. For On Attention zones you need to add option knobs and then choose the appropriate surface stack when configuring your console.

best,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff this is great info I didn't know..

So on S4 you can't use the knobs of the CSMs in a split configuration for example to be your 2 (L / R) attention knob zones? (You can do this with 2 knob modules on S6)

For On Attention workflows -> S4 can address up to 2 dedicated Knob Modules installed into one "options" bucket in the frame. Yes, S6 has the ability to declare in line knob modules as attention knobs or, like S4, dedicated knobs in their own bucket.

best,

Jeff
