I had sluggish behavior too.. rolled back to catalina. fixed it
now on M1 MBP.. hanging on Big sur.. Im just Burnt on "playing computer" Ive lost days too often w PT/ Mac gag. Its not perfect, but I still remember the sht show ... so Ill wait

It's a "BigSur Problem" or let us say Avid after 03.2021 unter BigSur...
Even on the MacPro 5.1 with Monterey, it's snappier than on BigSur... BUT as told before, Version of 03.2021 worked fine under BigSur...

A bit clunky for me over here too. The latest bug fixes helped but overall the GUI is still laggy compared with some previous PT releases. M1 Macbook Air on Monterey 12.4
