Default Can I open a small session made in PT Studio in Artist?

If my existing PT sessions (11 through 2022.5) fall within the Artist track limitations, will I be able to open these if I decide to downgrade to Artist? Unfortunately I can't justify the ongoing Studio annual price and I don't need its extensive functionality at this stage.

Thanks.

Yes, that’s exactly the point! To be able to collaborate with other tiered users.

Thanks for the confirmation, much appreciated. I had the impression that PT First couldn't share sessions with standard PT so thought I'd check.

PT First looked a lot better on paper than it did in the real world

I was bummed to find out that a session I had created pre-Artist had more than 32 audio tracks (however AVID counts them) and the extra were lopped off when I opened it in ARTIST.

Not worth another $200/year to me but it is very frustrating.

Uh... Pro Tools First looked *extremely* bad on paper. Trouble is nobody read the paper, and naively assumed Avid would actually ship a useful product.

And Artist is a much better product direction, and hopefully it all works OK, since DUC has some bias towards higher-end users we may be a little late in hearing about any problems folks are running into with Artist.
