Could someone from AVID please officially confirm this functionality:
I want to edit 192k sessions, is this possible with PT9 + CPTK2 + MBOX3 Pro? |

What about with an Mbox_2_ Pro? Which, as I recall, has a 96k max sample rate output - and doesn't let me even open 192k sessions with LE8 (Unless I do import session data and convert to 96k).
Can I open 192k sessions in PT9, just for editing, even if my interface doesn't technically support that sample rate? Will it automagically downsample during output? Or am I screwed? |

Not sure about the Mbox, but any 192KHz capable interface would solve the problem(now that you can use anybody's interface via core audio or ASIO)

I have a 002r at home which also works up to 96kHz and with PT9 + COMPK2 I cannot open a 192k session with it, nor with hardware switched off & running natively.... So I sincerely doubt you could do that with an MBox 2 that also only goes up to 96k... And thats why I asked the question... HELLO AVID? Can someone answer please?

Your hardware must support the sample rate of the session.

PT9 by itself will run at 192k on any interface that is capable of clocking at that rate.

yes i've read the same press releases as you
"is capable of" i am more interested in either AVID official statements or people who have actually opened a 192k session... Either is fine but please specify which it is (& with what interface) thanks! |
