Default Can U open 192k session on 96K interface?

Well, if someone brought me a 192 session on CD and I only had the 96 interface, would it mean that i couldn't open the session at all? Obviously, I wouldn't be able to record any 192 tracks, but could i at least open the session, hear it and edit it?

thanks,

J

You can't open a 192K session when you only have a 96.

So if you buy 4 192s and 1 96, you can't open a 192 session? Do you switch off your 96 i/o?

They should make a SRC for the master fader that converts the computer output to the interface to 96 K.

Well, what I'm wondering about is that there are an awful lot of people in Hollywood exchanging files to have someone else do drum edits, vocal tuning, etc. I can certainly understand not being able to get in/out of the system, but it seems to me that Digi would be making a good move if they made you at least be able to open and work on a 192k file even if you just had a 96k interface.
