EuControl crashing and screen brightness

I have the latest version of EuControl to use my Artist Mix. I have the Control app installed on iPad, but I seldom use it.

This happens randomly, maybe a couple of times a week. My Artist Mix doesn't work, and I find that it's because EuControl has quit/crashed. I restart EuControl, and all is well.

But now, two or three times over a couple of months, I had a more worrying type of crash that it seems also has to do with EuControl.

Both my displays turn black for a second, and when they come back, both are dimmed like 50%. Everything works except EuControl, says 'not responding' in the Force Quit window. Also restart from apple menu doesn't work until I force quit EuControl. After restart, everything is normal.

I don't think this ever happened before the last update of EuControl.

Specs in my signature is up to date.

What happens if you run Eucon under Rosetta if you’re currently running it Natively? Or visa versa.

You should consider updating OS as well as PT

OK, I've switched from running it native to running in Rosetta. We'll see, like I said, this doesn't happen everyday.

It just happened again. Sooner than I expected.
So, I don't think enabling rosetta or not has anything to do with it.
My only clue so far is this didn't happen on previous versions of Eucontrol.

Some questions. Does EuControl just quit with no error mesage? Does the Mac have sleep enabled or App nap? Can you collet the logs and post a link here so we can see if theres anything in them?

EuControl doesn't quit, but the force-quit window says it's 'not responding' after this happens. No error message. No sleep, no app nap. Just screen sleep, but this happens when screen is active.

Logs and stuff is a bit out of my league, but I collected a months worth of all logs I could find in Console that had relevant names:

Right click on the EuControl notification when its running and select collect logs. Does it all for you.

Can you try turning wifi off. It's connected to the same network as your ethernet so not needed.

I'm not getting 'notification' from EuControl. I don't know what you mean. Are the log files in the link I posted not the right ones?

OK. Correction: I right-clicked on the EuControl menu item and selected 'Collect support files'. Here:

I'm not using my ipad with eucontrol app these days, but I haven't really decided to drop it. So I might need wifi.

The ipad connects to your router not the Mac. You dont need wifi on. So the connection is iPad to router via Wifi. Router to Mac via Ethernet.
