Default No connection :

I have a M - Audio Oxygen 49 keyboard controller. I haven't had to many problems in the past. All of a sudden my windos 11 (just updated last weekend) , does not recognize my keyboard. It's been working fine until now. Ave changed ports / updated keyboard drivers , nothing. Any ideas/ suggestions would be very appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you using it as a USB keyboard, or with the MIDI port on an audio interface? What are you trying to do when having problems connecting - what programs? If Pro Tools, does it appear under MIDI Devices in Pro Tools?

Grab the free MIDI utility called MIDI-OX. Install and run it in standalone and it will tell you what if any message are coming from your Oxygen 49. If you're connected by way of USB go into Windows Control Panel and turn off any and all power savings features particularly for those pertaining to USB ports. Windows by default has them enabled (even on a desktop) to turn off after a certain while. Also check to make sure your keyboard is powered up. IIRC it can be powered by either a power supply or the USB port.

For those on a Mac the MIDI utility you want is called snoize.
