Make the whole Link web-based, please. Microsoft managed to do it (office/teams), so can you.

Heya Chris. This thread is an announcement about an app designed entirely for public reaction (the beta elements anyway) so an ideal method for offering feedback is about as on-track as I could imagine. It's also something I'd vote for enthusiastically.

+1 link is...

Keen for this public beta tho. Great work Avid team in getting this happening. There were many nay-sayers about it happening soon, but not me.

Hi Chris,

It is nice that Apple Silicon support is on the way!

May I ask what this public beta test means for the future of our support and update plans? Is this just a one-off public beta? Or is Avid intending on offering beta releases now for the support and update plan?

If it is the latter, rather than obfuscating exactly what people are paying their costly support plans for, may I suggest just taking the same approach as Reaper? A freely accessible, current version of the Reaper beta is always accessible by anyone whom wants to spend their time doing some testing on Cockos' behalf.

Avid will never do it, because it might reveal features that are pulled in the last minute. Apple Silicon public beta, I believe, is a one-off deal and you can test your 3rd party plugins with it (and give feedback). Internal beta team obviously gets every build.

Thanks Chris. I think this is a great step to getting a more stable product together, faster. A major architecture change benefits from a larger group of people poking it with sticks.

Hi Chris, will this version of Pro Tools fix the HD Native PCIe with thunderbolt chassis CPU/Engine reset errors/bugs on the 2022 Mac Studios? Best, Nathan
