Default Most stable combination

I am building a new PT TDM system, I will be staying with mix+. My question is, which Pro Tools version and Mac OS is the most stable combination. Right now in my A room we have OS 9 running PT version 5 and have never had a problem. On the flipside, if anyone has an old TDM system, work up a price and we'll talk.

Thank you,
