Default Show us your Dual Video Monitor setups.

I know a lot of you have wonderfull multiple monitor configurations
in your studios. So let's see them!

Here is my setup consisting of two 19" Dell flat pannels and one 14" digiview crt.
Notice the desktop is stretched across all three monitors.
Also notice the Movie and Big counter running on the little monitor.

The two 19" monitors are running off a dual port Matrox G550 card.
The 14" crt running via MaxiVista software from a second computer that is networked.
See picture:
Three Monitors and a Movie

This picture has the Mix window on the 3rd monitor,
Edit window with movie track and sound on 1st monitor,
Movie Window and transport on the 2nd monitor:
Another view of tri-setup

Loosk very clandestine with all the lights turned off. How about turn the lights on and step back 5 paces and show us more of the rig with the monitors? I like the CRT/big counter deal.

I just wanted to focus on the monitors and get the details up close.
Below is my studio before adding the extra monitors.
Still looks the same other than the monitors.
Nothing fancy really.

Swap,
Why use a networked computer to display the other monitor? And HOW are you doing that and running ProTools. Confused. I was thinking about putting my PCI card back in and running a third monitor that way.

Also, how is your playback in ProTools with video that large?

I know this was intended for Swap, but I figured a quick response is a quick response so....

If you already have a networked computer it is, by far, a cheaper solution than spending about $100 on another monitor and about $50 on a dual graphix card. Maxivista is only about $50 I believe...

If you already run dual monitors for ProTools then this allow a third monitor for only $50 bucks...

I don't understand this question. It is very possible to run PTLE on a PC that is networked to another. It's just not recommended per DigiDesign.

One of the best things to do for only $50 bucks!

Hope that helped a bit..

Doc,
The networked computer is sharing it's video resources so whatever
old PC or notebook you can find means more video real estate.
For the way it's done See this site.
Pro Tools did ok playing back the big video but my DAW machine is only Athlon 1.4.
Faster machines would have no trouble at all. Also the networked machine with the
third monitor was only a Pentium II 350 but it worked.
