Default Pro Tools and Premiere.

Afternoon, I have captured some footage from my mini-DV camera into Adobe Premiere 6.5. I want to export the audio into Pro Tools so that I can master it. I would like to do this in sync to the footage so I was thinking bounce this all from Premiere to quicktime movie format and import it into PT. Then once I have finished I can export to quicktime again. My question is can I burn a Quicktime Movie to a DVD so that I can play it like a normal DVD? Plus I would like to add some DVD titles and menus so could anyone please advise m on a way to do this?

Thanks

L.Dudley

Are you sure quicktime doesn't already play your dv files? If not, go to Codec Central or codec-download and see if you can find a codec that will enable it to do so.

In Premiere output the audio so you get a wav, and import that into PT.

Now you should be able to play your video file in PT, and the imported sound will be in sync.

Graphics can be created from within Premiere. Or in any graphics package - save as a jpeg in the video resolution you are working in so you don't have to re-size, and then import into Premiere.

Note: you may wish to add some leader at the beginning of the video to allow for you to add music over what will become the titles etc. Been a while since tried it, but I remember that when PT imports the video the first frame is placed at the beginning of the session and cannot be moved i.e. you can't add any music to before the video begins. But that may have been fixed lately.
