making the click an audio track?
Hello everyone-
I'm trying to take some of the recording that our band has done and create some performance tracks. Is there a way to make the click an actual audio track so that the drummer can hear the click on the track? I'm sure this is very simple, but any guidance would be appreciated! -jon- |

Re: making the click an audio track?
The way I prefer to do it, Jon, is to:
1. Create a mono audio track 2. Record a suitable "click" sound (sticks, cowbell, whatever...). 3. Set the desired tempo for the track and put in SLIP mode. 4. Trim the front of the "click" sample right up to the waveform beginning. 5. Switch to GRID mode, slide the sample to your start point. 6. Trim back the end of your "click" region to where the next "click" should start. 7. Copy and paste this sample at the end of the first one. 8. Repeat (ALT + R is the shortcut) as many times as needed. There may be other ways. |

Re: making the click an audio track?
thanks! I appreciate it. Last night I also messed around with it and found a different solution. I took the click track that was there and bused it into a new chanel. It had to record the click in real time, but it got the job done. Thanks for the reply! That way just might be faster.
