I just heard them talking about that on Nightly Business Report. Luckily my PT rig is not connected to the internet, so I'm not too worried, but I bet a lot of "more modern" PT users are.

Personally I've no interest in a Windows platform But for those who do.

Here is an article about it from the Pro Tools Expert Forum, appears Apple is not going to continue to update support going forward (which is not necessarily a big deal) and the only possible issue is if the system is on line .

Being online is a pretty big issue for avid because of cc. They're literally banking on it.

I read about this a few days ago as well. PT just needs the codecs, not the player, correct? Is it just the player that has the security holes?
