Default how to lock a track

I just want to lock one track so I can marquee select everything except that one and move them all but I am finding this a pain in the butt. First I tried selecting my region and command L which locks it but then when I select everything it still selects the locked track. How do I do this please? sing there just a simple way to lock a track in pro tools?

No but if you select all the tracks it should be fairly easy to unselect either by clicking the track in the edit window or by doing the same in the Track bin on the left of the Edit window.

Just select all tracks, then command click (not shift click) the track you don't want selected!

Yes, it's not a matter of locking the regions you don't want to move.. it's just a matter of deselecting the track you don't want to move.

You could also just hide the one track (by clicking on the dot next to the track name in the upper left of the edit screen) so you can do whatever you want with everything and when you need to "use" the track just click the dot back and whalla... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DzrOuaS370
