Default File extensions

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of file extensions in Pro Tools Dialog or SAVE screens?

I know this is minor but before I (finally) updated to OS 10.8.5, when I would go to bounce, the save location showed me the list of files already there, without file exts. After the OS update exts are displayed. I have extensions turned off in finder prefs.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
