Default 12.3 and HD Native card

I just bought and installed a 12.3 upgrade (from 11HD), but my HD Native PCI & OMNI are not recognized in the Hardware setup window. The Mac sees the Native card in Sound prefs, but Pro Tools acts like it's not there. Help?

Make sure OSX sound prefs are set to something like internal speakers, then startup Pro Tools, as soon as the PT splash screen comes up, press the "n" key on your keyboard and hold it down. Keep holding until it comes up with playback engine settings, and choose HD Native. Have a nice cup of tea.

Did you install the HD drivers that come with the 12.3 installer?

In addition to the HD Driver, you're sure you bought an HD upgrade right?

No - I did not buy an HD upgrade. But the compatibility docs say PT12 will work with an HD Native card.

Nope. No change.

FWIW: Digitest sees the HD card and OMNI. Only Pro Tools doesn't.

HD Hardware requires Pro Tools HD software (license) to function within Pro Tools.

HD hardware always "requires" HD software if you are using ProTools as your DAW. "Always"!

Does Avid sell a vanilla upgrade for an HD license?
