Default Inaccurate waveforms 7.4 happens more often on external hds

It seems to happen ALOT more when I record onto my lacie ext drive rather than recording a session onto my internal mac hd drive... anyone else notice that? Have a great week! God bless!

Since I switched to 7.4 about 10 days ago, I haven't had a single waveform drawn correctly. I use external drives, exclusively, as I have for years with the other versions of PT.

Constantly Recalcultating Waveform Overviews is getting really old.

This bug is wasting a lot of my time. And my time is not elastic.

Hi, I have the same problem since upgrading to 7.4 cs3. I use LaCie D2 drives, and have for years with no problem. Hello DIgi??

I see you have a similar setup to mine with the Rosetta 800. I have noticed some weirdness and I wonder if you have the same. I posted on this but no answers yet. At 48k/24 I send a regioned panned 1 khz tone out the analog 002 (3&4) outputs and run one to the 002 input #1 and the other to the Rosetta 800#1 input and then record it from 5 seconds before the tone. The newly recorded tones are about 1 sample late at the digi's input track(expected), and 27 samples EARLY on the rosetta's compared to the original output tone! It does this at all settings 128 to1024, low latency on or off, and is uniform across all 8 inputs of both devices. Does yours do this?
Thanks,
