Default OS X 10.4.9 is out...anyone take the plunge yet?

Just came out. Anyone chance it yet and see how ProTools LE 7.3.1 is working? I'm using my original MBox on a PPC Power Mac running LE 7.3.1 on 10.4.8.

I did and drowned. Thought my version of 7.1.1 was not compato with 10.4.9. So i bought the update, 7.3.1cs2 and nothing. Just bounces in the dock and then nothing happens. Guess I have to reinstall.

Anyone others as brave (stupid) as I?

Yep, upgraded just then... everything seems kosher - Waves plugs showing up. No worries with QT upgrade also.

PT's 7.3.1cs2 w/ DV Toolkit 2
PPC G5 dual 2.0 GHz
002R and Command 8
Waves Platinum
Waves APA44-M
UAD-1
Lots of other plug-ins and VI's... all showing up OK.

Note: often problems encountered with upgrading your OS has to do with older plug-ins that are still sitting around on your Mac. Copy over all these plug-ins to another drive (disk whatever) and re-install one by one. When Pro Tools doesn't launch - Bingo! There's your problem.

Please note these details are for an older PPC Mac (not Intel) and for the 002R (not 003).

Pretty good outlook so far. Might give it a whirl tomorrow...after I output split tracks from this recent ProTools project, of course.

Yep. Running 7.3.1cs2 on an Intel MacPro with UAD-1e. Flawless.
The OS seems "snappier."

Well last time I waited and waited for the damn Digidesign seal of approval (which took something like 4 months) then they just said, yeah, no worries - go ahead! Now, it's crash and learn all the way...

The exact same thing happened to me, running the exact same set up except MacBook Pro. Any luck getting the program up and running again?

3 yays, 2 nays so far. Both of you who had trouble, did you have LE 7.1.1 to begin with?
