Default Harpsichord?

I was nosing around for a harpsichord patch in Xpand2, and I can't believe there isn't one. Anyone know where I can get a patch for Structure Free?

I spent some time futzing with Xpand2 trying to create a decent harpsichord patch, and I think I got pretty close. I zipped up two versions and put them up for download.

The second is one is a bit brighter and "bigger" than the first. They're probably not totally accurate, so maybe some others can improve upon it. Russ, if you like it, feel free to use it for your Xpand2 compilation.

Thanks, will post it on the blog. I'll also check out and see if we can get a nice Keyboard collection created for Structure of Harpsichord and Clavichord etc. Anyone know where to stick a mic on a harpsichord?

As the Sound Supervisor for Colonial Williamsburg, I certainly know where to put the mic on a harpsichord.

Has anyone tried to port over the Post Modern Instruments harpsichords? They sound pretty good.

Thumbs up Re: Harpsichord?

Your wish...

By special request a set of Harpsichords of varying type, including vintage, modern and even a DX21 for those who need a little bit of FM synthesis in their harpsichord.

Get them here

You load these patches in Structure. Create an instrument track, click on the first plugin slot, mouse to the instrument category and select Structure Free. You can simply drag n drop the patch to Structure, or you can take a few minutes to figure out how to navigate from within the plugin UI.

AIR Structure has Harpsichord in the Factory Libraries.

IK Multimedia is likely worth checking out for the sound too.
