Default Still no answer. Deleting empty thousands of measures at the end of the session.

Hi everyone !
Normally I would like the "Universe" feature in PT. However, since my typical session is 4-5 minutes long, there are thousands of empty measures ( hours of time) sitting past the last note of the session. The result is that when looking at the Universe bar - you see a tiny rectangle on the left hand side, reflecting the session, and than thousands and thousands of empty bars. I tried EVERYTHING to delete empty space at the end of a session ( 700 minutes plus).
NOTHING works. Not the "cut time" option, not even "End Window Default Length" in Preferences ( I do NOT have Toolkit option).
Not to mention that having 700 extra unused minutes at the end of a session session messes up zooming, editing, scrolling etc. ( things disappearing from view at the slightest mouse moves left or right).
My question is :
is it possible in PT 8 to delete these unused, empty ( no regions, no automation, no markers etc.) 700 minutes ??

P.S. Am I missing something ?

For me this is almost always hidden automation. Make sure to set all the track views to the most probable source (volume). Select and zap. There's also the various "clear special" options under edit. Usually eventually I can get rid of it, although it helps to close and reopen the session afterwards.

Something worth trying. Go into preferences and set record allocation to 10 minutes(always a good idea unless you work long projects). Then create a new session and use the Import Session Data to bring in all the tracks from the old session.

Not sure if that's going to do it. You could start recording at 9:59 and go for 10 minutes, then at 19:99 and go for 10 more... That's just contiguous tracking time, I'm not sure if it affects session length.

BTW, what is your setting in preferences for Record Allocation? If you usually work on 4-5 minute songs, set that for 10 minutes(or less) and see if that helps.

IT'S SO EASY!
It took me days to figure it out though:

1. Open Score Editor
2. Put the cursor at the end of your last measure
3. Click on the "Double Barline" button (the rightmost button at the top of my Score Editor window, to the left of all the counters)

[solved]

I have a similar problem, but when opening the score editor pro tools crashes.
When looking at the Bars/Beats Counter it displays -9999, at session start. Maybe this is because of the 24 hours session that somehow grew.

I tried it with opening the midi editor, deleted a meter marker and the the score editor works again. I added a double bar but still no change. My session begins at timecode 00:59:52:00 goes all the 24 hours up to and then switches to zero again and ends at: 00:59:52:00

Anybody got a clue? Help very appreciated.

EDIT: I solved it by moving the song start to the timecode where the program starts, then selecting "no" to the realigning of the audio files
