Default problems with xpand

hello every one

just instaled the xpand on my system - i am prety impreesed with the sounds set , the only thing is that it eats my cpu and i cant say that i have an old machine - it is a G5 1.8 second generation with 768 ram and for protools it runs great all the time :how ever with one instruments track open with xpand my mac avts as if i am during a mix with 32 trscks runing 2 Dverbs and 3 plugins on each track.....
how come
has any one here expirianced such a problem?
maybe it is a lack of Ram (768 not enogh for virtual instrument?)with moth mach 5 i have no problems...

thank you for you attantion

You need more RAM, you don't meet the minimum requirements for the Toolkit add ons. From the compatibility pages:

Total System RAM

•*512 MB minimum required**, more recommended
•*More RAM increases overall system and Pro Tools performance
•*More RAM suggested for sessions with high edit density, extensive use of plug-ins, or simultaneous use with MIDI sequencers
•*DigiTranslator 2.0 will also require additional RAM

**Additional RAM Requirements — DV Tookit 2 & Music Production Toolkit Options

The purchase of either of these options expand a Pro Tools LE system from 32 total voiceable tracks to up to 48 mono or 48 stereo tracks at up to 96 kHz (interface permitting)
In order to reliably achieve maximum track count, 1.5 GB RAM or more is required on Mac OS X

I would imagine some of that 1.5gb requirement is also because of Xpand, which is not a stream-from-disk player like MachFive, but probably loads most of the library into RAM like the Spectrasonics plugs do.
