Default New to the community here looking for an engineer!

Good afternoon guys,

I'm a new artist to the community and was looking to see if you guys could point me in the right direction. Im currently looking for an engineer to mix and master music for me. I'm currently in a city that has a growing music scene but engineers are hard to come by. Any help or point in direction would be great. I'm also willing to send a sample of my work. I record all of my audio myself from home and can bounce the sessions. Looking forward to any insight!

What are you looking for exactly? Do you want someone in Dallas? Or are you willing to work with someone remotely? You just want someone to edit, mix and master for you? How much work are you talking about?

JCbigler, thank you for your response. I'm looking for someone that can polish my work. I have songs ranging from vocal tracks over MP3's to self-produced songs with track outs.

The songs I am currently working on require mixing, Equing, and some auto-tune. Being that I have worked with daws and have even done my own mixes I provide excellent reference tracks and a breakdown of what I am looking for. I'd be happy to send one your way.

I am looking for an engineer with experience that can cater to the sound I have developed, someone who will honestly listen and stand by their work.

Knowing your budget per song is worth discussion(maybe not here, but certainly discuss with any mixer under consideration) You might also consider paying a top-notch mixer to do 1 or 2 songs(your best) and then you use their mix as a benchmark to improve your skills on the rest. I'm sure you can find someone that will mix your stuff for $50 per song, but will they do a good job? Food for thought I don't mind giving a listen and critique. PM me for my email if interested.

Truth.

REDHOODXETERNAL, Shoot me a PM. I've got some free time over the next couple of weeks and and can take a look at some of your stuff. But I work by the hour, not per song.

thanks for your responses fellas, I appreciate the time youve all taken. Yes I worked with a handful of engineers, I just haven't had the best luck with finding some with professionalism.

I look forward to engaging with you all more!

and I'll be sure to shoot you some examples
