Way Too Early Tahoe Beta Thoughts
A little slow right now so thought I'd have some fun with the Tahoe beta. Created a separate volume and installed easily. Sort of like the new look.
Pro Tools 2025.6 is actually working (no third party plug-ins) along with the HDX driver....but EuControl 2025.6 crashes when opened. Pretty much as far as I've gotten. Safari seems snappier :). Disclaimer: I know I know...... Mac Studio M2 Ultra 64gb Ram

separate volume ? bootable swappable bi-system ? i though that old school ccc bootable (testable) volume was over since M ?

Cloned my main system to an external SSD and installed Tahoe beta over it.
PT 2025.10.2 running surprisedly well playing a heavy loaded session, with a lot of third party plugins. Will install PT 2025.6 to test now. Fingers crossed.

oh thanks for answers ! would you please, fishbone, explain me how exactly you did do it, cloning and stuff ? (software, process, limitation, warning)

The process is fast and straightforward without hassle. Then I installed MacOS Tahoe beta and, after a couple of restarts, it booted from the external SSD drive with the new OS welcome screen. After installation is finished, I restarted in recovery mode to make sure that thirty party extensions have permissions(MacOS installer always turn it off when you upgrade the system) to avoid any problems with my UAD Apollo's driver and that's it.
