It is never a good idea to do an OS upgrade without reinstalling Pro Tools. Since Pro Tools Audio Bridge is a core audio element of Pro Tools, it would be wise to completely uninstall PTAB and all of the virtual Aux IO from the system before reinstalling Pro Tools. Just deleting the Pro Tools application is not enough. After removing PTAB, then reinstall Pro Tools.

FWIW, there's a ton of audio fixes on both the Apple and Avid sides in Sequoia. I use AUX I/O for monitoring only a couple of stereo pairs, so I'm not the most extensive user, but they've been fine in Sequoia.

I can confirm like the rest of you, Aux iO is broken! This is terrible. It's back to source nexus until they can sort this out. Bummer.

Also having awful issues on Sequoia 2024.10. Reinstalling Source Nexus as well.

Just to follow up, this bug has been officially logged as PT-336178. It is with the engineers now and "awaiting prioritization in their backlog."

Same issue here. Tried using Aux IO in a session today for routing Source Connect and Teams. Source Connect had a HUGE delay which was fixed with a SC restart, but eventually came back and Teams had frequent distorted playback, then I was unable to receive any audio at all until I restarted Teams. This is the second time I've tried unsuccessfully to switch from Nexus to PTAB. I thought the issue was on my end, but I guess not. I guess I'll be switching back to Nexus until this gets sorted out.

Interested in knowing if there is some way to track this bug?

I am now experiencing catastrophic results on Sonama (with any version of Pro Tools). I often have live sessions using Zoom, ipDTL and dial ins (so using 2 or 3 bridges at once) and it’s completely unusable now. Glitches/crackles/break ups.

I have even completely reinstalled Mac OS (using Erase Assistant) and made my first application install to be Pro Tools and Aux IO (just incase certain apps were interfering). First session using ONE bridge … failed.

Source Nexus works brilliantly.

I’ve been hearing from a lot of users that aux i/o has never really worked for them since its introduction. Even if Avid ever gets around to addressing this bug, it’ll be a long time before I trust it again. Remote sessions are a huge part of my work, and having these kinds of failures is incredibly stressful. Source-Nexus has been flawless since it was introduced, and now that it’s back in my template I don’t see myself switching back any time soon.

Agreed. I've updated all my templates with Source Nexus and it works great, not a single glitch.

Hopefully someone at Avid is pushing for this, as it's such a great fundamental feature to have... when it works, of course.

I reported my case a while back and they finally came back and said that the behaviour matches the PT-336178 bug. So they closed the case, saying that there was no ETA on a fix, but to look out for updates. So I guess Nexus it is, for the time being.
