Digi Core Audio Drivers + Max/MSP
Are these compatible? Cycling says they are. I am having a strange problem.
I know this isn't a Max Forum, but it's directly related to the Digi Hardware/Driver. When I launch Max/MSP 4.5.5 and tell it to use the Digidesign Driver and my mBox/001/002 whatever (I have all 3 here) I get distortion in the Audiotester. Now, I can get rid of the distortion by upping the Vector IO and Signal Vector to 1024, and the Digi Buffer to Max... but the real problem comes when Max "lets go" of the Digi Driver. The max engine turns on and off depending on what you are doing. Now sometimes it lets go of the driver, and then it can grab on to it again, and audio passes normally. But more often then not, Max will stop it's engine.. and then fail to start it again. Switching to Built In and manually quitting the Digidriver does not help, this only causes Max to Crash. I have tried version 6.4 6.5.2 and 6.9 Has anyone seen this? Maybe the digi tech guys have? I'm at a loss. And yes I have contacted Cycling, but I have not heard back from them as of yet. |
