Default Keyboard shortcut - move cursor into time display

Can someone tell me (for Mac and Windows, please) whether there is a keyboard shortcut for placing the cursor in the time display window? I've had a search through the official keyboard shortcuts publication, but can't seem to find what's needed.

For context, I frequently note down times in bigger sessions for particular edit points, then need to look around for alternatives in different takes. Once decided, I enter the time I want to go back to in the display, press ENTER and I'm back exactly where I want to be. A keyboard shortcut would just save time in the longrun!

Thanks in advance.

Adrian

It’s the * key on the numeric keypad. If you don’t have a numeric keypad then you can customize your own shortcut in the keyboard shortcuts window. Assuming you’re running at least 2022.4.

You can copy and paste the time from there as well. Instead of manually entering it.

(I usually use a temporary marker for this - if you have a numeric keyboard it's quicker - in sequence press period-0-Enter on the numeric to set marker 32000 then period-0-period to recall)

Thanks for that, and apologies for the late reply. Yes the * works great. I had the BIG COUNTER window open to start with and that became the cursor destination which I didn't notice initially - I was looking in the time window on the main EDIT window...but sure enough, you're right. With the BIG COUNTER closed, it goes where I was expecting.

Thank you!

That's a useful tip too - much appreciated!
