Default Antares Tech Went Back To iLok!

Just as the title says, Antares Tech is getting rid of its current license software and are going back to iLok. You will get a notice when you open Antares Central. It will give you an option to convert now or wait until the 2025 date posted. I just switched all my license to iLok and I'm so glad to have only one activation software now other than Native Access. I always hated CodeMeter. A good decision on their part IMHO. Woohoo!

That is good news. I actually really prefer iLok. Anytime an developer offers it as an option, that's what I choose.

Thanks! I just launched Auto-Tune Central and let it update and then followed along with the instructions and it was surprisingly painless. Easy.

In fact just hit 500 activations on my iLok dongle! Woohoo!

Yep! After you get all your plugins installed and licenses move over to iLok you can uninstall CodeMeter and the Antares Central. I'm sure they will eventually launch a new installer just for the plugins at some point.

Zoe, what do you mean by that? Is iLok licensing only to Auto-Tune right now?

I uninstalled Antares DUO(PT Inner Circle plug-in) because of the continuous problems with activating.

Can I now activate it with iLok?

Be aware that Auto-Tune Pro 9 still uses the Code Meter system. So I have 9 on CodeMeter and 10 on iLok.
However Auto-Tune Hybrid 9 now uses iLok.

500 activations? Wow! It must have taken years to get that many!

i have 599 but sure, has taken some time to gather that collection. But a closet full of real hardware would be nicer

Plugins are good where it does not matter, like digital reverbs and transparent eq's and such. But those "color" gimmicks are so +20 year old already, and still many companies try to sell them.
