Default Problems with MIDI Sustain Pedal while recording

This issue really annoyed me today. From what I've read, it only happens when MIDI Merge is enabled, which I always have turned on. I play and record a lot of keyboard tracks, so this is somewhat of a nightmare.

To be clear - I experienced sustain pedal off commands during recording that I didn't play, but playback worked as expected.

Very disappointing...

I am annoyed about this as well.

Notably because the sustain off seems to present itself randomly and there is no way knowing before a live gig whether this issue lifts its head or not. So oftentimes the pianist can play well, but sometimes it sounds horrible.

It's just a sustain-off message, how can it not work?

Thanks, Janne.

I agree - how can it not work? I've played piano for 30+ years, and can't remember ever having MIDI Merge disabled, because I love that feature. Let's just say that this ruins my workflow.
