That mainly if you are using the new ara or the new markers. Overall it's not a big deal.

Hi there!

I tried to repro this but was unable to. I tried using the new ARA editing available on 2024.6 and reopen it on 2024.3.1 and I get an error about plugins but not about being incompatible and forced to re-save the session.
I tried creating a support case for you, but I can't find any Avid Account connected to the Email you registered here in the duc. Can you update your Email or PM me your iLok ID so I can start a case for you?

Has anyone figured out the implementation of ARA for Revoice Pro 5? The workflow requires the standalone app to be open so it requires round tripping and the processes you apply from the preset menu don't seem to apply to the regions it's been activated on.

So far it’s working pretty good here besides some of the vocal line issues where the promotional materials showed vocal line project five working yet you need vocal line 6 to actually show up as ARA… Besides that everything works fine I don’t know about this midi bug thing since I use superior drummer and everything is fairly locked… I get a beat going in superior and put it on a loop while I create other instruments and then go back to superior to finish the arrangement
And then end up, dragging it down onto a mini track, I’m splitting out drummer into various axes, and then processing further with hardware all seems fairly tight to the grid and click.

Since avid got sold, I guess this is the first update under new management as they say glad to see things moving forward and avid not sold for parts… Just yet

The "What's New in 2024.6" document is pretty clear:

Currently Revoice Pro exclusively works as a standalone application. Use the Revoice Pro Link plug-in to transfer audio from and back to Pro Tools (note that Revoice Pro Link does not perform any processing).

I'm struggling to work out how this qualifies for ARA support at all. Most likely there was an 11th hour problem, and this is a fudge.

Yeah it feels like this feature wasn't finished or given much thought. You can't even transfer the processed regions back into the timeline with ARA like with the Audiosuite plugin.

On this note, does anyone here know where the ARA plugins are located in MacOS? I’d like to uninstall RVP ARA

Did you try on 2023.9.0? I'm on a scoring stage today and their system is 2023.9.0. The sessions I'm opening here, were created / saved on my 2024.6 rig.

Edit: I fixed my email address here as well
