So given nothing is listed in the fixes , can we assume that the issue with Carbon dropping out on Mac Sonoma is not fixed correct ?

Hi,

tried PT 2024.6 Ultimate. It's not usable for me, because when I start/stop/start playback in a session in a short period of time (about a second), PT doesn't manage to stop and resumes with an error "PT is not able to stop".
When this happens, the System Information Window shows an CPU overload. When the session plays normal, the CPU usage is about 20%.
Sometimes it doesn't go in to play. Instead the green play button is flashing, but nothing happens.
Running picture with VideoSync5 (with Satellite Link).

I'm only getting this after closing the prefs window or I/O setup.
After opening/closing I/O setup or prefs I get a -22005 or "PT timed out trying to stop" error after stopping after the first play pass. 100% of the time.

Just open prefs or I/O, hit OK. Hit play and stop and the cursor will freeze for a couple of seconds and comes back with the 22005 error or the "timed out" error. When you open system usage you can see that all cores go to 100% and total usage goes to 100% and fully red when this happens. But as said only on the first play/stop after leaving those menus. Happens with prefs, I/O, playback engine and even without changing any setting

After that it's fine also on very short/fast play/stop events.

Yes the Midi latency is still being worked on - reproducing it took a while as cases weren’t being created by users at first. Now that it has been reproduced Engineering is looking into the bigger picture and working on MIDI improvements that hopefully will resolve several issues, including the one strawb and others have mentioned.

I will let him know this as well........

Hi Strawb..... I know you communicated with tech yesterday so here is what I got from engineering this am...... I also posted this in response to Skylar_battles comments.

Anybody notice that 2024.6 sessions are not nicely backwards compatible?

Opening 2024.6 saved sessions on a 2023.9 system gives a warning message that the Session was created on an incompatible version, and after dismissing that dialog, you are forced to re-save the session.

That's gonna be a problem for me.

I "think" the bug # for the Carbon drop its with Sonoma 14.5 is PT-323033 but if you have a different one, please let me know. This is still listed in the Pro Tools support with macOS Sonoma (Known Issues) Knowledge base article
