HD Cart by Liquidsonics is a great surround 480 emulation.
I've used it on my last 2 films and I really like its open/unobtrusive sound.
It goes up to Atmos widths too, which is a bonus.

I dunno how it compares to the Lexicon bundle. I always thought those algos were based more on the PCM reverbs, rather than the classic 224 and 480 type sounds?

HD Cart sounds great. Can't replace the Lex bundle for OP but certainly worth checking out. Great on orchestral stems in surround.

Yes the bundle was based on PCM96. Which of course is no slouch but not the same as 480.

It's baffling how both Lexicon and TC just completely dropped the ball with their plugins. Total Kodak level blunder.

I'd buy Liquidsonics and move on. Specifically Cinematic Rooms Pro, Tai Chi, and HD Cart. I still happily use Exponential Audio too but can't recommend buying them if you don't already own.

It really is. I use LiquidSonics 7th Heaven, Reverberate and Tai Chi. Am looking into HD cart. You can get discount coupons from them to apply to your next purchases which are decent. I still use Space as well.

I remember when Emu came out with the Proteus and rocked the industry. The they got caught up in building a DAW that took them down. Was sad to see.

I still have two

And an EIV. It was sad to see. Their EmulatorX3 was the absolute best soft sampler and it was abandoned.

Nevertheless back to the topic we are spoiled for reverb plugins. Most of them are very usable even if they aren't a direct replacement for the PCMs or Random Hall. Revibe and Space go a long way if you have them.

ReVibe also goes 5.1 if you need, but if you mix in surround you better have ExponentialAudio Symphony 3D and Stratus 3D and wish for surround version release of TC VSS4. Eventide Blackhole (immersive) is also a must have on surround sessions.

I thought the PCM60 was famous for being smooth on vocals, but the example on female voice didn't sound great. It seemed to be better on drums and percussion.

Try the Soundtoys superplate which is my favourite all time plate plugin now, surpassing any official Lexicon or alternatives like Valhalla plate I used in the past. But that I can only recommend for plate as that's what it sounds like. For a nice hall, the fractal audio FAS is amazing, but sadly no native apple silicon. However I have recently found out that with patchwork I can actually load Intel AU into Pro Tools native Apple Silicon version, so there's a workaround.
There's always Pro-R 2 which is a fantastic workhorse.
Great halls with Waves H-Reverb which might be the most criminally underrated reverb plugin of all time, and ditto re the underrated, but for rooms, with Sonnox Verb.

I have the Mega Sub, so I already have it. Just haven't tried it.
