lost ptle 7.3 auth :(

ive exhausted every avenue for this topic on the avid site but i couldnt find the answers, so i apologize if this is a repost.

story goes like this:
i bought an Mbox2 and pt le a few years ago on ebay and installed it on my mac g5. it came with an upgrade to le 7.3 and i did that. i dont believe i registered it officially, and ive moved several times so ive lost my Getting Started guide. i found in some of my old files a serial that matches the "DIGI0730" criteria, but i seem to remember not being able to use my 7.3 update authorization and i read that there was some problem with that update cd or something, so at the time i may have just used a not so honest serial to save time.

years later, i finally have enough money so bought a nice new mac and I am hoping to qualify for the crossgrade update. i have the email confirmations from ebay and whatnot. im just wondering who i can talk to about my situation?
i dont want to try this silly

If you have a new Mac you will need a much newer version of Pro Tools. The good news is its greatly improved. As far as serials go to upgrade to PT9 or PT10 you will use the serial on your MBox and not the auth code from your version of 7.3

is it the actual serial (starting with AKH1) printed on there? bc i have that and a "Lost LE Auth Code" i received in my avid website account. i just dont want to purchase the $399 upgrade and then not be able to use it, and have to shell out $699 for the other version!

The serial number is physically on the Mbox itself, either the back or the bottom.

I have a MBOX2 Micro and a Mini. Both have serials that start with AXX so that's likely your serial number.
