Pro Tools HDX - Big white noise at the end of the recorded clip

This issue have been really embarrassing for us when there is a valuable client sitting next to us. When playing back a recorded clip we hear a big white noise at the end of the clip. Which may would almost blast the speakers and even your ear drum as well.

You can see the waveform for about half a frame at the end of the recorded clip. While recording we are having no problem but at sometimes (not always) it leaves this waveform in it. You can hardly notice it unless you zoom the Edit window.

Usually it happens when stopping the recording hitting space bar. I have not experienced this issue when in punch out mode.

Any advice would be help.

We have this exact problem on 9.0.5 HD.

It's only on sessions with ~20 tracks, not if you just record something in a blank session. The same as you, if one punches out rather than stopping there's no noise (even if you pull the audio underneath back) but it does happen if you just hit stop. You can hear it and see it in the recorded waveform!

Any solution? mAxc or anyone else.

Paul and Bob thanks for your replies..
I have never encountered this type of error in Protools 9 though. And this happens even in a 20+ track sessions in HDX system. As you have suggested Bob we updated the system to it's latest into 10.1.1 but the issue remains.
We have checked the audio flow from the mics to the system and guess what, even after all the cables are unplugged from the system, the error still remains. So I believe this must be a problem within the Protools system.

Will let you guys know if any other solution is popped up.

Non HDX rig here, just PT10 with CPTK. I had this blast of noise (audible and visible) happen multiple times yesterday and I believe it is only when I stop recording using the control surface and not during automated punch-ins.

Anyone else see this in PT 10.2? I 've noticed tonight that it only does it when I manually punch out by hitting stop (using the spacebar) . Doesn't happen when using auto punch.

I just ran into this a couple weeks ago on a client's 10.2 / Fireface UFX rig.

at first i thought it was the UFX till I had it happen a few times on a pro fire 2626. I also thought it might be a "3rd party interface" thing till I saw some HD and HDX users here getting it too.
