Default cans: SONY 7506 vs. Sennheiser HD280Pro

I've been using the Sony's for 3 years now, took a listen to the Senns at a local shop but could't make a true A/B comparison. I like the Sony's but now find them a bit fatiguing, and I'd like a pair of cans that block the outside noise, read good things about the HD280's.
Do any of you prefer one over the other?

I think you'll find the 280's will kill the 7506's for accuracy. You may have to get used to them though if you've been using the Sony's for a long time. Once you are used to them, you'll realise how exaggerated the Sony's are.

I have also used the Sony MDR 7506 cans for about five years now, but I just spent the last 30 hours (over the weekend) in a studio with the Sennheisers wrapped around my head, and I'm sold. Better low end response, nowhere near as hot as the Sony's (which is better, IMHO), and much more comfy over the long haul.

I'm ordering a pair online as we speak.

I've been using the MDRV900's for the last year or two.......never fatiguing, sound great.......I do like the 280's too, but they would be my second choice.
