This will occur if you are trying to run the session off the CD. You can't.
You must first copy the session onto your hard drive, then run it.

Hi,
Try this. Works for me and my PTLE friends:

1) Open Windows Explorer, and go to your CD.
2) Select all the files you want to copy.
3) Right click and say copy
4) Go to the session directory where you normally keep audio for your session.
5) Right click and say paste
6) Select all fo the files again, right click, go to properties and uncheck the 'write only' button.

At this point you should be able to at least open the session. If the location you place files in isn't named the same as your friends, then you may need to tell Pro Tools where the audio data is, but after that, you shouldn't have any trouble.
