Default Re: Protools feeling very tired on my machine

Reading all this makes me anxious with fraught memories of the 5.1 cheese grater days - pre MS Ultra / March 2022. When I realized I was spending more time bailing water than sailing I bought a new boat.
Knock on wood - in shallah etc

I think your move to Apple silicon has been one of the better stories around here. It's good to know.

This made me think that it's a better idea to not run a browser (or anything else suspicious) at all when dealing with heavy mixing projects on the same machine.

If one have to look things up on the internet a modern browser will start in seconds anyway. So lookup, then close again?

have to work in frame I/o a lot so not so convenient

Anyways this issue totally resolved thanks to Daryl Ram hint.. - it was the use of VST plugn .. so now I have to open and close that VST plugin when using it..

Yeah, mine's been pretty solid, as well. A little Eucon weirdness every day or two, but I suspect that's partly my home LAN.

Could very well just be EuCon. It's been quite a long time since I remember trouble-free operation.

Yeah, I kind of feel like with the S1 on an Ethernet adapter, Control App on Wi-Fi via Fire Tablet, Carbon on the main Ethernet, Bluetooth keyboard, mouse AND trackpad, 2 USB MIDI controllers, Metagrid on an iPad via USB, and video in Video Sync via Satellite on the same machine… there’s a lot of packets flying around. Still runs amazingly smoothly for all that.
