Control 24 Offline... Not like the other posts

Ok, so we have a control 24 and pt 7.3.1 on Mac os X. Now before you tell me to go into peripherals and check ethernet controllers.... I'VE DONE IT... So moving on, we had a power outage here the other day and after the power came back on, pt wouldn't load. So we reinstalled pt and now the ethernet connection is not working properly. I ran a test on the board for ethernet connection and it keeps building errors when I test the external ethernet connection on the board. Don't know what to do. In a bind. Let me know if you have any help for me. Also looked applications>digidesign>Pro tools>Controllers and made sure that the Control24 personality bundle is loaded properly.

I've been happily using the C24 for three days when it suddenly went offline and will not come back. Power has been cycled and the unit has been connected to two different systems and the perifs still cannot locate the unit. I had a large 5.1 session that was struggling looking for DSP when it finally went offline. ( I do not think this is related).
The green ethernet light on the back of the board is on but the yellow light blinks. This is a rental and the company is bringing over a new ethernet cable so we'll see if that's the problem. WTF?
