Default Errors - 9129 and -9093 with PT 5.0.1 LE

I'm running PT LE 5.0.1 with Win98 2nd Ed. It was working fine after first installing, but now I keep getting Error -9129 when I play or record telling me to reduce my H/W Buffer size. When I do so, I immediately get Error -9093 telling me to INCREASE the buffer I just DECREASED. Highly maddening!
I've read about the UDMA66 and -33 drives, but I don't know how this correlates to my computer (which is a one-unit rack-mount model). People say to use the -33 drive, but how do I know which one I'm using?
Somebody please help me spare the remaining hairs on my head!!! Thanks!

We have found what appears to be a solution to our own problem. Under the HD's properties in Device Manager, we activated "enable DMA," and PT LE seems to be running fine once more.

If anyone has insight on this, though, I'm still interested in any input.

Thanks.

Yes, the "DMA" setting is required for
all IDE drives on your system that you want to record on.

To enable DMA right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select properties from the drop down menu. Now you will have to select the device manager tab which will display a list of your computers configuration. Then select the plus sign next to disk drives and double click on your hard drive and check the "DMA" box and reboot when prompted.
