Default MCDSP native plugs!

I just listened to Charles Dye's interview. He mentioned the MCDSP TDM analog channel for his analog color. Does anyone have the LE version? What other MCDSP's plug's are killer?

Like Charles said, i never do a mix without DuY... and without Analog Channel !

But prefer TDM version (witch runs great in RTAS too) because of the AC1 and AC2.

You must try it, and you will never want to run protools again without it !

http://www.tubetracks.com <- some tracks with intensive use of analog channel (AC1 at every intruments and drum track and AC2 at every bus/group track)

Some great sounds Eric! Nice mix. Love the drum and keyboard bass sounds. What did you use for drums? Let me understand this, you are using TDM Analog channel in PT LE? What is Duy?

in the past you had to buy the TDM version to get analogue channel 1 now you can get AC1 native without having to buy the TDM version.

the LE version only has AC2

And it's not even the full version of AC2, it's a scaled down version, with a limited feature set.

The Classic Pack Native Bundle is what you're looking for as it has the Native version of Analog Channel. The Native version doesn't seem to be available separately currently.

If you want to just buy AC, you can get the HD version, which has RTAS capabilities and can be used with LE, but why not spend the extra $300 and get all the rest of the stuff in the Classic Pack Native Bundle? (Analog Channel, CompressorBank, FilterBank, MC2000) I mean, if you're going to blow lots of money on a plugin that you don't even know how, when or why to use, why not go whole hog, right?

My personal opinion is to avoid the LE versions and/or the Project Studio Pack.

Absolutely agree. That extra $300 would normally cost $1500 to get the other Classic Pack plug-ins separately, because you would need to buy the HD versions. Classic Pack Native is a great deal.

I bought the Compressor Bank LE for $129 and use it regularly. The "Overeasy" settings is suspiciously like my old DBX 160.....

Thanks Cary !

Yes ! I use TDM Analog channel in Protools LE because of AC1 and AC2.

I dont think Analog Channel LE is a really good deal because of it lacks of AC1 that i use on every of my tracks as 5th plugin.

Usually i put at 1st plug of all my tracks DuY DaD Valve for some valve emulation but not too much. and i put at 5th plug of all my tracks AC1 for some odd saturation

At every group buses i put Analog channel AC2 at first plug and i use for all these plugins some home made presets.

Go to www.duy.com discover these MUST HAVE plugs !
